I’ve been coming to the Good Shepherd Welcome Centre every week for meals for many years. I really enjoy the home cooked meals and desserts as well as the company of the others who come along.
The Homestead of Hope was formed in September 2010 with a preliminary meeting at Ss Peter & Paul Parish Kiama. We commenced operation with our first official gathering February 2011.
Our Aim
To encourage Christian Unity between the churches with 3 monthly gatherings fostering a closer union with God and friendship and love with each other.
To support the poor, disadvantaged, marginalised, lonely and homeless in our community with free meals and friendship.
To offer emergency relief accommodation to the homeless, refugees, victims of natural disaster and people in crisis situations.
To offer professional services which will enhance life giving skills and foster self worth, enabling people to regain confidence in their ability to live a rewarding and fulfilling life.
